Doing good for our community…
Lewis-Manning Hospice is Poole’s voluntary hospice offering free specialist palliative nursing care to around 700 local people each year living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. We are a registered charity, regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
Autism Wessex was founded in 1968 by parents of children with autism. Autism Wessex is the regional charity providing high quality specialist services for people affected by autism and associated difficulties across the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Julia’s House is the only children’s hospice charity in Dorset dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families across the county and in South Wiltshire.
We offer regular respite sessions at our hospice in Corfe Mullen, Dorset, and in the family’s own home. We also run events for siblings and mums and dads – we support the whole family.
Margaret Green Animal Rescue was established in 1965 and is the oldest and largest animal rescue charity founded in Dorset.
Every year Margaret Green Animal Rescue cares for over 1,200 animals, many of which have been abandoned, unwanted and ill-treated, and re-home them to loving owners.
Forest Holme Hospice Charity (Registered Charity No. 1038021) was formed in 1994 to raise funds to support Forest Holme Hospice which would be used to enhance the quality of life for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Border Collie Rescue. We take in, care for, re-rehabilitate, re-train and re-home unwanted Border Collies and Working Sheepdogs. We also provide commercially un-biased advice and information about the breed.
